~Family day at the park~

We took a family day and went to this park. The kids had fun eating yummy treats and playing! It was a fun day together. This is the park where Kimberly took our pictures for our Anniversary post.

~Elijah is 13 months old~

~This is a funny series of pictures that we took...trying to get a half-way decent picture of our Elijah. He's our silly boy that brings us SO MUCH JOY!~
~He is wearing a little outfit that Noah wore. (one of the few that I got to save.)~

God is working in our churches and people here but the devil does NOT like it and is REALLY fighting! Please pray that God will encourage the new believers and help them to go on into Holiness. Thank you!

~A nice surprise visit with some good Southern people from the USA!~

One Sunday Felipe's cousin Debi and her husband Daniel from South Carolina, USA, came to our church. We were happy to get to meet them. It was neat to see them singing our Spanish hymns in English. =) They are a dear couple who were here to adopt a little 11 month old Colombian boy. I was thrilled to get to talk with Daniel and hear his Southern accent, and know that when I said, "Y'all" he knew EXACTLY what I was saying. =) Daniel cannot speak but a few words of Spanish, so I think he was just as happy to hear my Southern talk and really enjoyed visiting with Phillip too. =)
Debi's Mom is from Colombia, but Debi was born and raised in the USA. She asked the Colombian government if her Mom's connection with Colombia had helped them with their adoption, but they said no.
~On Monday Daniel and Debi came to our house for lunch.

~They were glad to have some American food, and Daniel was so HAPPY to have my Southern Sweet Tea, for that is his VERY favorite drink! =D~
~A cute picture of Hayden and Elijah.~
~A nice family picture with their precious baby. =) We were amazed at how much little Hayden looks like his Daddy...when he is from Colombia, and Daneil from South Carolina. Isn't that neat? It was a LONG 3 and 1/2 year process for them, but thank the Lord they got their baby boy at last and are now enjoying him at home in the USA. =)~
~It had been awhile since we had seen our dear friends Carlos and Gloria, so later that afternoon I called them and asked them if I could bring supper and come have a nice long visit. They were as happy to see us and we were them and we had a nice long visit and got home at 1:00 AM. Our lives stay so busy that we don't get to be together often.~

~Some pics of Elijah~

~Noah is THRILLED to have his little brother to play with. They are both early risers so they LOVE to greet each other in the morning and run off...Opps! I mean "crawl off" playing and laughing together. =)~
~Our little Elijah is growing~
~Looking cute with his curls.~
~Our kids were APPAULD when they saw that I had teasingly put Elijah's hair in a pony tail...just to see if I could do it. We plan to cut his hair soon, it's just that his "barber Daddy" is running his legs off for the Lord, and hasn't had time yet!! And I'm too scared that I'll mess his hair up for Life. =)~
~This picture is for Gramp and Gram so that they can see Elijah wearing his birthday gifts from them. =)~
~While Daddy was away teaching/preaching in Medellin, the kids and I went to our nearby bakery for a yummy breakfast treat. =)~

~Our 3rd Women of Worth meeting here in Colombia!~

God really helped with our 3rd ladies meeting here in Colombia. I had wanted to have the meeting in my house, but since I had already started packing up my house, I knew that it would be better if we held it elsewhere. So, I prepared all of the food and hauled it to our church in a taxi. =D The devil is REALLY fighting in some of our homes and among our ladies so during these meeting I wanted to challenge our ladies to keep going forward, fighting the good fight, and to stay faithful to God and their husbands. God really helped us. Afterwards we went upstairs to the fellowship hall and I served my snack that Jesus, and my girls had helped me prepare! =)
~I LOVE this color of flowers and had seen a lot for sale here recently. (They just dye real flowers this color.) Since I had the same color tablecloth I thought it would be fun to have those flowers for my table for the ladies meeting. My sweetheart walked from florist to florist until he found these flowers for me. =)~
~I had forgotten that the walls were the same color. =)
~I made 4 batches (121) of my rolls!~
~I made a double batch of choc. chip cookies.~
~I served my rolls, apples and a creamy apple dip, my choc. chip cookies, and little Smokies in BBQ sauce (Brown the sausages for 10 mins. or so in the oven or in a skillet on top of the stove. Then for every container of BBQ sauce I use one container of jelly [I use grape, strawberry or blackberry] Serve these warm!...This makes a yummy quick snack that people LOVE).~

~Kimberly snapped this pic of Sis. Farly, and Sis. Joanna helping me serve the drinks. (I knew that it woud be nearly impossible to haul my pitchers of tea or juice in a taxi along with everything else, so I just served a yummy apple pop that they have here.)~
~The ladies enjoying my Gringa food.~ =)
~The ladies LOVED the food and wanted recipes (Which I plan to type out and give them soon.)~
~Sis. Joanna helped me by making the coffee. (Actually we served "Tinto" which means coffee with NO MILK. If you say coffee ("Cafe") that means it has milk in it. =) After we ate and exchanged our Secret sister gifts I showed them how to make Rice Krispy Treats. I had made those a couple weeks before that and they LOVED them. They were so glad to find out that they were so easy to make. =)
~Our ladies are really enjoying doing secret sisters. We exchange names each month, for it just works better that way in this culture. =) Some of our ladies are very poor, so I have told them that they only need to let their sister know that they are thinking of her with a note, a small choc., package of peanuts, some fruit (Which is yummy and cheap here), flowers (which are beautiful and cheap here) etc. We don't buy large gifts, but are having fun giving and receiving little "details" to encourage one another. At the end of our meeting last month, I found out that Sis. Farly had my name. She gave me these beautiful roses, a fun pen, and a cute notepad. Gracias, Hermana Farly!!
~Phillip kept Noah and Elijah for me that night. When I got home, I found Elijah asleep on this blanket. =)
Now, I would appreciate your prayers! This Saturday our family will be going to our church in Cartagena (a 23 hour bus ride away, but God provided cheap airplane tickets for our family) to help encourage our people there for a few days. (We were going to send Bro. Jimmy and Sis. Farly and family, but since he just had eye surgery he cannot travel for about a month or so!)
The ladies there have been begging me to come and have a ladies' meeting for them. I hear that there are some REALLY needy ladies there..So I would appreciate your prayers for me as I do a ladies' meeting for them. Also, They live on the coast and speak a lot different then the people of Bogota. (So...while you are praying, please pray that I can understand their Spanish, and that they can understand mine. =) Thanks!

Praise God from whom all blessings flow,
I wanted to let each of you know...
We now have our COLOMBIAN VISAS for 2 more years,
We're so happy, gone are the stress, and tears. =)

~Answer to prayer, pics, and please pray....~

Thank you for all of your sweet annivesary wishes! We had a nice day together. We had a yummy and sweet breakfast date at a nearby bakery and had fun just sitting and chatting together. I am very blessed with the GREAT husband that Jesus has given me! =)
THANK YOU for praying about that last paper we needed for our Colombian visas! The lawyer FINALLY gave it to us yesterday! YEA! PRAISE THE LORD! =)

HOWEVER...There is still one more loophole to jump through in order to renew our Colombian visas, so your prayers are still needed. We are to work on our visas again this week! God knows what is best!
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
~Here are the beautiful flowers that my sweetheart got me~ He told me the other day something to this affect...while we live in Colombia I love to get you flowers for they are cheap...but I'm sure that there will come a day when I won't be able to afford to get you flowers as often. =)

~This was a yummy cake that Jimmy and Farly gave us for our anniversary. Muchisimas Gracias, Hermano Jimmy, y Hermana Farly. Les Queremos mucho! =)
~This picture is hard to see...but yesterday evening Noah told us that his thumb was hurting. A few hours later we noticed that his thumb on his left hand (below his thumb nail) was all swollen and filled with pus. UGH! It appears that maybe a spider bit him. Please pray that everything will be fine with his thumb. Phillip has read up on spider bites and so we are doing all that we know to help him.~
~Tomorrow Bro. Jimmy has to have his 4th eye surgery! Please pray that all goes well!!! Thank you!!

~14 of the best years of my life~

(We were in a CROWDED park trying to watch our stroller from being stolen, and our little Elijah from being kidnapped, all while trying to be ready for Kimberly to snap this picture. =)
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Fourteen WONDERFUL years together. WOW! Just think of that!
Plus the 3 years that we dated...*(all THANKS to your good friend Matt!)*
Phillip, I love you more today than I ever have before!
Each year that passes, I find that I love you more!

Our life has been more of an adventure than I had dreamed;
We've been blessed to travel, sharing God's word to see others redeemed.
In Ohio, Arizona, Costa Rica, and Colombia for the past 3 years,
Sharing times of happiness, joy, laughter, as well as sadness and tears.

Happy Anniversary, my sweetheart Phillip, you mean the world to me!
Being your wife and Mommy of your children...I'm as happy as can be!
Our future is bright for God is the head of our home...
Let us grow old together and make life great...wherever we roam. =)
(*Phillip's high school friend, Matt Johnson, called Phillip the summer before my freshman year at GBS and told him to look me up when I got there. Thanks, Matt! =)
